Privacy Policy
Effective October 30, 2026
The short version: your pets' records are private to your account. We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking analytics. A care sheet is visible only to people you send the link to, and only until the date you choose.
Who we are
Pawmology ("we", "us") runs the website pawmology.com, where pet owners keep their pets' health and care information and share it with sitters and groomers. Questions about this policy go to support@pawmology.com.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile picture from Google.
- Pet information you enter. Names, photos, species, breed, birth date, weight, microchip number, allergies, medications, conditions, vaccines, care instructions and reminders.
- Contact details you enter. Your vet's name, clinic, phone and address, and the names and phone numbers of emergency contacts. Please only add people who are comfortable having their details shared with your pet's caregivers.
- Care sheets you create. A copy of the pet details above, an optional sitter name and note, and the date the link expires.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting and sign-in providers process your IP address and browser information to deliver the site and keep accounts secure.
How we use it
- To show you your pets' records and reminders across your devices.
- To display a care sheet to the people you send its link to.
- To keep your account secure, for example to send password reset emails.
We don't sell or rent your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers below.
Care sheets
When you create a care sheet, anyone who has its link can view it without signing in until the end of the expiry date you choose. You can turn a link off at any time from the pet's Share screen. Treat the link like a house key: send it only to people you trust.
Service providers
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud host the website, store your data in the United States, and handle sign-in.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces, which means your browser contacts Google's servers when pages load.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
Storage on your device
To keep you signed in and let the app work with a weak connection, your browser stores a sign-in token and a copy of your pet records. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Signing out ends the session on that device.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. Care sheets stop being viewable after their expiry date. When you delete a pet, a care sheet, or your account, we delete that data from our database. Copies in our providers' backups are removed on their normal schedule.
Your choices
- See and edit everything you've entered at any time in the app.
- Delete your account and all your pets and care sheets from the Account section on your home screen.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or for help deleting it, by emailing support@pawmology.com.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with Google Cloud. Database rules limit each account to its own pets. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password or Google sign-in.
Children
Pawmology is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let account holders know before they take effect.
